LeanUp for SAP Fiori

The 360° view of your product in the launchpad

Material master, bill of material, routing and stock in one Fiori app instead of many tiles. LeanUp brings these views together without touching your SAP standard.

LeanUp in the SAP Fiori launchpad: several materials open as tabs, the material master on the left, the bill of material with nine items on the right

The problem today

Ten apps for one product

For the material master there is one app today. Everything else is still scattered: open each app separately, enter the material every time, and hold the result in your head.

Functions

The 360° view of your product

You search for your product by material description or by material number, across all plants. If you only know part of it, the search takes you to a result list to choose from first. Everything you need after that stays in one window.

The bill of material of a finished product in LeanUp: nine items with assemblies and raw materials, with the material master beside it on the left.
Bill of material. Header and items in one view, assemblies expandable further. The material master runs alongside on the left.
The routing in LeanUp: a task list group with four operations and the times for setup, machine and labour.
Routing. Operations with setup, machine and labour time, alongside the bill of material rather than instead of it.
The where-used list in LeanUp: six higher-level materials in which the selected semi-finished product is built in.
Where-used list. Where is this part built in? Six hits, one query; in the standard that would be CS15.
The document list in LeanUp: three document info records with type, version and release status, with the attached original file below.
Documents. Drawings and instructions with version and release status. The document types come from your customising.
Context menu on a bill of material item with the entries „Open component in new tab“ and „Open component in new window“.
Jumping on. Right-clicking a component opens it as its own tab, and the bill of material you started from stays open beside it.

This is only a small glimpse. LeanUp for SAP Fiori can do considerably more than five screenshots can show, so the best way is to see it live.

Search by description

You do not need to know the material number; the description is enough, across all plants. You pick the right product from the result list.

Material master

The material header with all field groups, resolved per plant, without switching between views.

Bill of material

Header and items, the multilevel explosion as an expandable tree. Nested assemblies down to the last level.

Routing

Task list groups and operations with processing and setup times, alongside the bill of material rather than instead of it.

Where-used list

Where is this part built in? All higher-level assemblies at once, instead of one hit at a time.

Stock and warehouse

The stock overview across all plants and storage locations, and with EWM down to the individual storage bin.

Documents

Drawings and instructions with version and release status. The original opens straight in the browser.

Tabs

Every material you search for opens its own tab. Comparing variants means switching, not searching again.

Your columns

Show and hide columns and fields per area, and save them as a named layout.

Document wizard

Documents linked in under a minute

First step of the wizard: the choice between a new document info record and linking an existing document.
New or link. Either a new document info record is created, or a document already in the system is attached to the material.
The document details step with the fields document type, document number, description and release; the list of document types is expanded and shows thirteen entries, from engineering drawing through to office document.
Document details. Choose the document type, optionally assign the document number yourself, give it a description, and release it right away if you want.
Third step: the original files are selected and waiting to be checked in.
Check files in by drag and drop. Drag originals in from Explorer, any number of them in the same pass, with no second operation in the DMS.
The wizard’s closing message with the new document number and a note that no release is required for this document type.
Immediate feedback. The status message appears as soon as the document is created, here with the document number that was generated.
The document list with the newly created entry and the attached original file below it.
Done. The result is in the list straight away, and one click opens the original in the browser.

Technology

Built for an upgrade-ready SAP landscape

LeanUp works exclusively through released interfaces of your system: CDS views for reading, released APIs for creating documents. No modification of the standard, no direct table access. Developed clean-core oriented and upgrade-ready.

  • Looks like your launchpad. The same look, the same handling, not a foreign body among the standard apps.
  • No second sign-in. Anyone signed in to SAP is signed in to LeanUp.
  • Nothing to install on the desktop and no cloud component in between.
  • Built to ABAP Cloud and clean core principles; the application passes the SAP clean core ATC check run.
  • Our own objects in the partner namespace /M2D/.

The benefit

From 30 minutes to under a minute

LeanUp brings material master, bill of material, routing, stock, documents and more together in one interface. Search once instead of clicking through transactions.

  • 1 search
  • No switching transactions

Calculated on five lookups per day, 220 working days and eight hours per working day.
